SEPTEMBER 21 IS WORLD ALZHEIMER’S DAY

Olatunji Pelumi, is a First Class graduate of History (B.A, History) at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He is a writer, and his area of research interest is in international history, African history, politics and economics.

Notable among Pelumi’s research papers, is his economic published article at the website of Global History Dialogues, Princeton University, USA, 2023, titled- “China’s Increasing Interest In Africa: An Act of Neo-colonialism or Developmental Relationship? Nigeria As a Case Study”. Here, Pelumi made an intrinsic investigation into the Sino-Nigerian relationship whether it can be traced as a developmental or parasitic relationship. During leisure, Pelumi plays the piano and listen to “soul lifting” music.

At the 76th Convocation Ceremony of University of Ibadan, November 13th, 2024, Pelumi was conferred with 5 Academic Award Prizes. They include:

  • The Best Graduating Student, Department of History
  • The Abisola Gabi-Williams Prize
  • The Professor Olatunji Oluwatimilehin Endowment Fund
  • The Dr. Robert Bradbury Memorial Prize; and
  • The Professor Obaro Ekime Award for Best Graduating Male.
